➲ What Are File Actions

File actions extend what you can do with read-only files while still safeguarding your source assets.

File Actions allow authorized users to initiate actions on files and directories directly from the Diskover interface. Role-based permissions control access, and available actions depend on the File Action Plugins your organization configures. Diskover’s plugin framework also allows organizations to create custom File Action Plugins for internal workflows and third-party integrations.

➲ How to Launch File Actions

DESCRIPTION

Launch File Action for a single item:

Hover over a file or directory.
Click the button (gear icon) next to that file or folder.
Select the File Action you want to launch.

Launch File Action for multiple items:

Select the checkboxes beside the files or directories.
Click File Action in the toolbar above the results.
Select the File Action you want to launch.
