Overview
Quick Searches give you fast access to common search needs. You can use them on their own or combine them with manual queries and other built-in tools to get more precise, detailed results.
How to Use Quick Search
Quick Searches run across all your volumes and their directories. Each option in the drop-down menu is a pre-built group of criteria, designed to help you search efficiently without needing to type anything.
Select any criteria, and the results will automatically open in the Search page, for example: Quick → Files → Type → video. This query finds all files with a video file extension across all indexed volumes.
You can always confirm exactly what criteria were used by checking the green bar:
How to Combine Quick Searches with Other Tools
