File Tree Overview
The File Tree report shows you how your data is structured, how large each directory is, and how your storage ages over time. Many users prefer this view for exploring data because it presents everything in a clear, hierarchical structure.
⚙️ Customizable? This report is not customizable.
🌍 Scope: Not global, per volume/path.
How to Access the File Tree
From the Analytics menu |

Path bar: Enter or paste any path you want to investigate. |

Go: Acts like pressing the Return/Enter key. |

Up Level: Moves up one directory at a time until you reach the root of the volume. |

File Tree Panel: Shows directories in size order by default. If you switch to K Count, the sorting updates accordingly. ✏️ You can drill down from this list—or by clicking slices on the pie chart. |

Open in search page: Opens the selected path in the search page for further investigation. |

Copy path: Copies the path to your clipboard. |

Reload: Refreshes the data. |

Size Filter: Show only directories/files above a certain size—this will affect the results displayed in section P. |

Mtime Filters: Focus on data modified during a specific time range. |

Hide Thresh: Hide very small percentages to simplify the charts. |

Size or Count: Switch between analyzing by Size (data volume) or Count (number of items). |

Show Files: Include files in the results; by default, only directories are shown. |

Filters: Summary of the filters you might have selected. |

Directories chart: Shows directory sizes visually—hover a slice for a snapshot of details or click any slice to drill down. |

File extensions: Shows the most common file extensions in the current path—click a slice to view those files in the Search page. |

Size chart: Breaks down data by size categories—click bars to open results in the Search page. |

Aging chart: Shows how old the data is based on modified time—click bars to open results in the Search page. |
